The GoFumig8 project successfully digitized fumigation workflows, improving efficiency, compliance, and overall user experience I was the UI designer for GoFumig8, a project aimed at revolutionizing the fumigation industry. This project ran from January 2022 to November 2022. The team consisted of solo designers, & three developers. We utilized Figma for design, Jira for project management, and various testing platforms. GoFumig8 is a digital platform designed to simplify data collection, documentation, and compliance tracking within the fumigation industry. The target audience included fumigators, logistics companies, brokers, importers/exporters, and government regulatory authorities. The primary goal was to address the inefficiencies and compliance challenges associated with traditional paper-based fumigation management. The fumigation industry relied heavily on manual processes, resulting in time-consuming data entry, inconsistencies, errors, and difficulty meeting compliance requirements. This led to delays, increased costs, and potential legal issues. Interviews with fumigators revealed frustration with paperwork and a lack of real-time visibility into the process. Logistics companies faced challenges tracking shipments, while regulatory bodies struggled with inconsistent reporting. Improving this process was crucial to enhance efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance. Our main objectives were to reduce data entry time by at least 30%, decrease compliance errors by 25%, achieve an 80% user adoption rate, and improve user satisfaction scores to a 4.5 out of 5 rating. We planned to measure these outcomes through post-launch surveys and data analysis comparing pre- and post-GoFumig8 implementation figures.
